What's the job

We are looking for a experienced, enthusiastic, passionate, hands-on Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team to work on our market leading trading and clearing and settlement platforms.

Our markets run 24/7/365 – and that means it’s tough. We don’t expect you to know or understand the complexities of power trading on day 1, but you have a passion to learn, you obsess about quality and you’re all about getting stuff done.

Our modular trading platform and clearing and settlement system are built on ASP.NET and .NET Core.

Desired background

- You are, of course, a software testing professional and can design good tests.
- You can perform exploratory test sessions and prioritize what to test first.
- You have a background in test automation development for API and(or) UI (JavaScript is a benefit).
- You have experience with some SQL dialect and database management system.
- You understand cloud-based microservices software architecture.
- You have experience with CI tools like Bamboo, Jenkins or similar.
- You are inventive, creative, yet pragmatic with a strong sense of urgency when required. However, you are naturally assertive about employing best practices and processes.

- You are obsessed about quality and enjoy supporting the team around you to becomes equally obsessed.
- You are highly articulate (English an absolute requirement), passionate and driven yet possess enough humility to be a total joy to work with! You know when to escalate and are comfortable at all levels of the organization.

Your typical workday

It's all about testing:
- You ensure all aspects of testing are embraced from the start including load, stress, performance and are familiar with tools and techniques to apply.
- You are an expert in test planning, scoping and designing and applying the necessary strategies, frameworks and techniques to the problem at hand. You work closely with your Scrum team to ensure coverage and quality at all stages.
- You have much experience in Agile methodologies and the philosophies of continuous value delivery.
